PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Whatever day its announced, i dont really care, just want this shit off the agenda for once and for all.

Ohhhh it'll never be off the agenda because when this avenue closes another one will open up for them.

Some would say the damage done to football not just to us is irreparable, the brand tainted by it's own royalty and their grasping conniving cheating ways to stay at the top.

Anyone see this?

“Some commercial litigation experts tell me that negotiation behind the scenes is possible — and that horse-trading could be a reason for the judgment taking so long to land. But the more prevalent view within both football and legal fraternities is that negotiation in this case is highly unlikely.
'With both sides apparently having set their stall out at such diametrically opposing positions, it would be hard to envisage a climb down,' the commercial litigation lawyer explains. 'For example, how can City suddenly agree to accept, say, 75 charges or the Premier League agree to write off 50 others? Not now the proceedings are concluded.'The other clubs would go berserk. I sense that the ruling will be the end of it. My sense, based on nothing specific, is that it was an all or nothing kind of case.'

The view echoes that of Kieran Maguire, co-host of The Price of Football podcast, who concluded in a discussion of the APT ruling on the programme last week: 'Given that the legal costs are likely to be in the realms of £100million to £120m, can you imagine how the other club owners are going to react to, "In the end, it’s a misunderstanding. We'll just give them a fine"?'

A deal was always the way forward on 115. Far too catastrophic for either side to lose.

Whatever we do I hope it isn't acquiesce, this should be used as a starting point to stop the red filth from using their own rules to deny other sporting clubs from achieving greatness.

I really don't like the term Horse trading it invokes a scenario where we are getting into bed with them, we should just be fucking them from every angle.

The way Herbert says horse trading could be possible, where he's concerned it's more likely to be unicorns

I heard today from a good source that they could be an announcement this Friday. Reason for the long delay is didn’t want it hastily arranged and needed to be properly planned. Sequential approach to delivering of both cases with smaller one last week to avoid stitch up accusations etc. I have not seen the ruling summary yet but apparently prem league look pretty terrible in all of this so hopefully that means we should be cleared .
Off to get a tattoo..

Why would the panel care when it’s released? City don’t know, prem don’t know so how can it be planned to be released to avoid a stitch up? And that phrase “could be released this Friday”? (insert any day, month, year.) is straight out of every journo and kfa’s handbook as it explains fuck all whilst trying to cover all bases. Not having a go at you personally @Rikki but I think your source is past its ‘use by date’.

You could be the first poster to lay dormant for 5 years and get permanently banned after 1 post?
What on earth has possessed you to post what you said?

I very much like his post, but as you're suggesting I might have a very different opinion come Friday....
Obviously a wum as @Rikki hasn't replied to anyone or any posts replying to him.
Typical wum behaviour, he probably thinks it's never been done before and he's the first.
Fuckin nimrod.
