PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Well, the process is the punishment. I’m not a big fan of conspiracy theories, and it would be unbelievable if the league pulled something like that on one of its own members. On the other hand, how UEFA handled the FFP case in 2014 is well documented — sometimes reality really is stranger than fiction.
Setting aside the possibility of undue influence being exerted by other members of the league, I don't think it much of a reach to think that those at the league who made the decision to pursue the case against City considered factors beyond simply winning or losing the case in making the decision. It would be much harder to believe that they didn't, in my experience in corporate litigation for the last 25+ years.

I'm guessing 1995 isn't your DOB then or you were a very clever kid.

I was a clever kid, but not that clever. ;) No Doogie Howser here. Finished undergrad in 1995, law school in 1998. Clerked for a Court of Appeals for a year and started practicing in 1999. I've used 1995 in most, if not all, of my board user names at different places on the internet.

Thanks — the journey is the destination. Unfortunately, the questions still remain as to why the Premier League has not accepted that our sponsors are not related parties, and why they believe they can prove that we acted in bad faith.

If the EPL were confident that our sponsors are or were related parties- you have to ask why they invented the whole Associated Party nonsense.

It pretty much makes every major company and government body in the UAE an associated party of City, including Etihad. Treating Etihad as an associated party then allowed them to block our new sponsorship deal.

Too late. We've already won everything and done four in a row.
