We all know Liverpool's trophy haul dwarfs ours, that's hardly in question, but Sterling can't look back at past glory, he has to look forwards.
If we were to all cower to the prestige of past greats, we'd all be supporting Burnley or similar.
City have a bright future, and there's a strong indication we'll win more trophies in the future. It's not for Liverpool (or City) to criticise a player's choice of club. If it's money he wants, sure, we've got it. If it's potential trophies, we've got that too. Looking back at Liverpool's undeniable past success offers nothing to Sterling in the here and now. He's given Liverpool a go, now he wants to give someone else a go. Them's the breaks.

25 years ago, United were behind Liverpool, and they sorted that issue out.
There's every chance, in time, we'll do the same. If we don't manage it, nobody will be gutted, we're City fans, we can handle losing, most of us have been brought up on it.
