Not sure why we are comparing Empires either? All Empires fall and a new super power takes their place. If Liverpool are the Roman Empire we are modern day America.

Liverpool were never the Romans. The Romans were dominant over hundreds of years and controlled half of the world.

Liverpool are more like the Alemanni Empire. It wasn't really an Empire, was full of Celts and collapsed after 10 years yet people still talk about as having a special istree.

We're more like Charlemagne. In that we found ourselves in a position of great power through quite a bit of fluke and then decided to take over the whole of the known world because of it. And we both struggled in Europe early on.

Hey everybody, remember the Alemanni Empire?

Yeah, neither does anybody else.

How many of you have nearly crashed the car shouting at the red numpties on the radio mourning Raheem. How many more ex Liverpool players can they wheel out to spout the party line. The latest being its our fault for turning his head, polluting his mind.
Lets get this straight, James Milner signed for Liverpool a couple of days after returning from our club tour of America, I have no recollection of anybody from our Club claiming Jimmy had been tapped up at Christmas. Repeated offers to stay from the manager, Chairman and players fell on deaf ears because Liverpool made him an offer he could not refuse. (Whilst he was a City Player ). This toxic blend of self pity and hypocrisy is so manifest within the psychy of scousers, it seems almost normal now.

The narrative goes like this

Liverpool tap player up = Good buisiness, it's the natural order of things

City tap player up = It's bad for football, it's a scandal how very dare they

By way nice to see you venture into here mate ;-)

Are we gonna have a history battle.

It would be like comparing the Roman empire with the Armenian empire.

One ruled europe whole the other had a short lived empire in a small part of Armenia/Persia before the Romans conquered them and everyone forgot about there small past triumphs but remember the Roman vast sustained triumphs.
You wana talk about the future all football clubs have history i see ours alot brighter than yours . You may still be talkin about your history 20years down the line same old shit

The media is absolutely littered with former Liverpool players. It's impossible to get a sensible opinion. They live in a bubble, most still congregate at their matches, and they are effectively a walking talking PR machine in the media. It's going to take at least another 10 years to be rid of them.

Maybe because he was

The bit that caught my eye was him complaining about Home fans booing his team for 90 mins.

Seriously did that really constitute something to be in the same ball park as bricking buses.

I seen us Mastering Europe, great days.

With your financial outlay maybe your great days are around the corner.

The booing bit was unacceptable due to the level of respect and decorum shown by our supporters on the anniversary of Hilsborough. That's why the booing got up some people's noses.

Are you even from Liverpool? You don't sound like it.
Are you Scouse-Jimi?

And goes unanswered

I don't give a shit if people are City fans or not, I don't have to justify or quality my support to anybody. It's fucking embarassing how quickly fellow City fans turn on each other. It's bordering on shameful.

Unto each their own, but I cower to no fucker, mod or not. I turn up, I support my team and I state my opinion.

Sterling does not want to renew his contract. I get the disappointment. We had it with Milner, Distin, and many many promising players down the years. SWP was taken by Chelsea, but have we ever conducted a vendetta against the player. Get this: if he wants to leave you just have to take it on the chin, and get the best fee you can for him.

Instead LFC react by hanging the player out to dry - tactics underwriting the harrassment, and abuse.

Their actions have led to Liverpool fans baying in the stand against Sterling, yet somehow they expect him to stay and honour his contract? Reprehensible behaviour on a human level, and totally incompetent and inept from a footballing point of view. Rodgers was already on shaky ground after last seasons finish which I am sure was connected to his treatment of Sterling, and a bad start will do for him.

They paid £5m for him. They should take the £35m or whatever it is and allow the kid to leave. Or treat him with respect and let him play out his contract and support him as a Liverpool player as we did with Milner.

Well until Liverpool come back and be realistic...

In reality Raheem has one year of his contract left if he announces that he is invoking the Webster Ruling before December to leave the club at the end of this coming season. Then at the end of next season all Liverpool get is a £!.56m (he buys out the remaining year of his contract) + The FA Young Player Tribunal decide a fee of anything between £3m and £10m for Liverpool building the player. (The later only if he goes to another English club.)

Why you arguing with scousers mid table time on the decline! But they have a rich European pedigree! So have notts forest with the set up they have in place they are going to be languishing around mid table for a long time! Then comes the inevitable relegation battle! Followed by the inevitable relegation! How does all this start? It starts when your best players want out and want to enjoy the elite teams in the league! That can compete for the major honours, players and staff on current success and stature! Not on being great 20 years ago! I'm afraid that's why we have resident scousers lurking! They can see which way there once great club is going and there shit scared!

The booing was just childish really. No other set of fans has taken it to that level. Then again, no other set of fans were stupid enough to have their photos with the PL trophy before they'd won it.
