I almost get the impression that you don't rate Hart, as you've said so dozens of times now.

Who exactly replaces him? How does it fit our homegrown player CL profile?

Percentages and save stats are meaningless without the context of how tough the saves were. Ten pearollers or one top corner screamer?

l love stats but the stats don't tell you how many he let in that he should or could have stopped; if you measured that, I think the percentage that he should have stopped would be compare very favourably to other keepers.

I like how he's been very upfront about his mistakes in the Euros. I'm sure he'll be working harder than ever adjusting to pep's system over summer. He was heroic over the two legs against Real Madrid, and he's had two bad games at the euros.. I guess shit happens to all players. English keepers have made some terrible errors over the years, I think we should be equally concerned that we didn't score in open play against Iceland! Anyway, good keeper, keep him

Its been highlighted for the last two seasons, and haven't we kept the same goal keeping coach under Pep. If so then I despair

Apparently we have, which on the face of it doesn't bode well.

I'm hoping that the Pep effect will improve his game, otherwise he'll be lucky to survive three transfer windows. With his performances for England this summer he might not even survive this forthcoming transfer window.

Quite probably, yes. I think he's a good stopper.

Stats have their place, but they do need to have a grounds for comparison. The Sky concept is that they'll keep chipping away creating random numbers which are then seized on and abused.
e.g England had 68% possession last night and 18 shots to 8. Clearly on top? When you see that Iceland had 5 shots on target to England's 4, it puts a different slant on things.

His mix up with Nastasic
His mix up with Kolo Toure
His pass to Fernando
Him vs Bayern(3-1 loss)
Spilled a soft cross straight to Andy King to tap in
Adam Johnson vs us
Ball trickled through his legs vs Southampton for a tap in
Has dropped many a cross that have led to goals hence why he punches all the time now

Multiple mistakes for England

I hope you didn't have your cock out while you typed all that, it is pathetic how people can find joy in berating what is a City legend.

Sad fucking twats.

I like how he's made a list of mistakes he's made 3 years ago, around the time he got dropped for not performing.

A mix up with Kolo. Christ talk about clutching at straws.

Hart is a winner surrounded by a team of losers. He'll be even better under pep odd he'll be put the door. We now have a manager who will push hard and reward in return and he'll thrive on that. Depending on the next boss he might even tell them to shove it unless they have the same desire.

Wonder what the reaction around here will be if Pep comes in and says Hart is not good enough? Reports about us looking elsewhere (Ter Stegen/Bravo) seems to indicate he already has an idea about what to do.
Wasn't it Kidd who said Mancini was looking to replace Hart with Begovic if he hadn't been fired.

Hart was the only player who was man enough to admit that he had a terrible game. Pure class, in front of Shrek, Kane and Sturridge all of whom didn't say a word following embarrassing performances.

He is pure class, a great leader, and he loves city to bits. We should be honoured to have him.

Ter Stegen or Bravo are hardly great replacements, in fact im not sure there even decent replacements but anything is better than Cabbalero

Not sure I'd put any stall on reports, which are leaked by agents or people who want to destabilise an opponent. When the club say something, I'll assume it's probably happening.

He's a great guy and seems really down-to-earth. Always has total respect for the fans. However, he is prone to making errors, and I'm not sure if he would be considered world class. The problem he has is that he doesn't have much to do at City or England, so we don't see that many outstanding saves. When we were under pressure against Barca and Real, he was immense.

Having said that, I reckon David De Gea is a far better keeper, and the best in the world. Don't think Utd would ever let him go, but I wonder if he would be tempted by Pep and Champs League.

No, it was Platt but he never actually said it, what he said was this:

"Surprised to hear about my quotes on Hart today. Did Liverpool v Stoke last week and said we liked Begovic, but had Joe Hart."

That didn't stop Hart's critics running with the original misquote and some of them are still running with it today.

That the same DeGea that was beaten all too easily at his near post against Croatia and spilled a free kick to give Italy the lead yesterday?

I'm quite happy with JH being our keeper for years to come... but if we went for the doughnut thief, there's no chance we'd get him. He has snubbed Real Madrid, the biggest club in the word, CL holders and his hometown city.... so there's no way he'd go to City or any other PL club for that matter

exactly. all keepers have clangers in them. Loris has numerous fuck ups and soft goals against but everyone thinks he's better? No keeper will save everything. Hart fucked up, it wont be the first and it wont be the last time, but in between he makes numerous excellent saves.

Joe is the greatest keeper we have had in my lifetime and one of the best we have ever had. What does it say about us as a club if we discard him now during his darkest hour?

He must be feeling like utter shit right now and it as not all his fault. We had 75 minutes to score after his mistake but could not do so. The main reasons for England's failings were more down to Hodgson and Neville's incoherent tactics and poor management of the squad.

Fed up with people blaming managers and coaches for players not being able to pass the ball 5 yards to a colleague and Joe is a good keeper but not good enough for us
