I'm sure that Harts footballing ability can be replaced. But what about his personality? What about his leadership qualities? What about actually giving a fuck to clap the fans at the end?

I don't care if we're playing the best football and winning every possible trophy, if there aren't players who in some way or represent the fans on the pitch then it's just not the same for me anymore. With Kompany injured frequently and Zabaleta's slight decline in form I'm worried we're losing a lot of our identity.

Maybe the new signings can fill the void of these three players. I'm willing to wait and see but last season it wasn't our dreadful league performance that pissed me off the most. It was the way management and players had no respect for the fans. That better not be the case this season, regardless of how we perform.

I wasn't promoting the idea of AK, I was pointing out that a keeper who is accurate and composed will lighten the proverbial fuck ups. How one receives the ball and shows is fundamental to what pep is trying to implement... Let's be honest here, in a sequence of 10/15 passes between defender and GK, would you trust Joe?

No I wouldn't, and whilst I believe a coach should be able to improve things and you should never be too old to learn, at 29, it should be more fine tuning than fundamental fixes!
All of that said, I don't trust our entire defence to work this system particularly well against the very top teams, but I do have a bit more faith that Pep can work with them though until improvements arrive!

Mate if you think Hart couldn't match Bravo's passing stats knocking it to the centre halves 5 yards away you need to give your head a wobble.

Haha
Give your own head a wobble
Check out 75% of the '5 yard passes' you're claiming Bravo plays
They are mostly played through two forwards, splitting them and beating a press
Hart wouldnt have the speed in thought or feet to even attempt it, its not even an opinion, its an absolute fact
I have NEVER seen hart play a single one of those balls, Bravo is excellent at it

Bang on. That's what these Hart haters don't realize there's more to games Than winning. IF they supported us long enough they should realize that. Having players to relate to like Joe is needed.

You don't know more than pep about tactics mate - none of us do. Just trust him.
I'd like to, but the fact we've started the season without getting in two world class fullbacks is the biggest issue for me. If you want to keep possession and get forward quickly then we need better fullbacks ASAP. Keeping what we have is as strange as dropping Hart if you want players who can keep posession.
Zero movement to get into space - even on Saturday. And the "tucking in" bit, with them? Better teams would blow us away if we used the same tactics against them.

Well I'm going off his words there, seeing as he 'hates Tiki Taka', I can't imagine he'd be too happy about the centre halves and goalkeeper playing 15-20 passes between them without moving the ball into a better position. Don't think I've ever seen Neuer, Valdes, Ter Stegen or Bravo contribute more than 2 or 3 to a move either and I don't think they'd be too comfortable with the idea.

You do realise this was our first game implementing it, yeah? It's clearly going over your head mate so I'd advise relaxing and seeing how it plays out between now and November.

Played through two forwards to a player getting into position to receive the pass, Hart's never had the opportunity. If nobodies moving into space you don't have a passing game. You want to see why Hart's passing percentages are low, just go watch any game from last season and see Yaya let his marker stroll into a ballside position and then stand there like a fucking gobshite making no effort to be available until he can get the ball facing goal.

Behave yourself. We had an identity long before Kompany and Zab got here. We'll have one long after they leave.

Can't believe the small mindedness of some of our fans. Whatever happened to no man bigger than the club. Joe's been a good servent but we have the best manager in the world. A man who has an unparallelled ability to identify who is "with him" and who is "against him" very quickly.

He has sold Ronaldinho, Eto'o, Deco, Ibrahimovic and replaced them with players like Pedro with less ability but who are willing to run through walls for him.

You might not see it now but when Pep is finished every player will be playing for the shirt not just 3 or 4 like it is now.

He is a fans favourite, yes, not least because he's English and we've effectively seen him travel this recent journey with us - which is why so many are upset / bothered by it. But Aguero's won our affection without all that stuff. So you don't HAVE to 'be Mr Spokesman' or 'Mr City' to win over the fans.

I'm reluctant to suggest Joe's mouthy behind the scenes, because I genuinely have no idea if he is, or isn't, but I am minded of Ferguson's stance about very good players like Ince and Keane who the fans loved, but had just a bit too much to say too often, and thought they'd earned some right to question the manager. What we see on the pitch and the image a player creates for the media can be very different than the one behind closed doors.

Remember the Keane incident in the World Cup? some would say he was standing up for improvements in the Irish FA, but at the same time, he walked away from his teammates and left them to it when they needed him the most. Or 'Mr Chelsea' who had no qualms about shagging a former team mates ex - who knows what sort of dressing room dynamics that creates?

Again, I don't want to suggest Joe is similar to those examples, but what the fans see is a very limited glimpse.

I've no problem with the tactics, I just don't think Hart would be any worse at them than anyone else given the opportunity, which he has more than earned. This isn't a player on his way out like Yaya, a player we can't rely upon like Vinnie, or even a player who's consistently shown himself up to not be up to the standard, this is one of our top performers, probably our most consistent one, in the most successful period of our history, in his prime, seemingly being fucked out the door on the strength of 45 minutes in a pre season friendly behind Kolarov and Fernando at centre half.

We should get rid of him too, doesn't train hard enough, keeps getting injured, plays the joker all the time and he's useless as a false 9. That Aduriz chap is playing well in Spain, get him in.

Edit: Weren't there some rumours about him and Maradona's daughter having some 'difficulties' in their break-up? Sell him to Everton, any striker from Spain that a top club don't see as worth hanging on to must be better.

So have we gone from being excited about having the most innovative and succesful coaches in world football to "he doesn't know what he's doing regarding the goalkeeper" in a few weeks? His results show we should trust his judgement

Clearly he doesn't hate Tiki Taka as that is exactly what we played on Saturday - 75%+ possession with 10 chances in the whole game is exactly Tiki Taka.
