We have a ton of talented CB's coming through the academy, Stones and Dias are reliable and we have Ake and Fernandinho worst case.

May sound harsh but Dias will probably be happy to have Stones beside him again. I understand why Pep wants a left footer in the defence but the understanding, communication, and general composure within the backline is weaker with Laporte in the team.

But Laporte was his own worst enemy .

I'm not arguing against Laporte's poor performance, and the defending was 100% bad for the red card. I just meant that if Cancelo had been in a respectable position the ref wouldn't have been able to give the red.

Cancelo of course had his bag of troubles too besides that.

Very poor from Laporte today , i wont be jumping on the bandwagon and sticking the boot in , four goals conceded in the first nine league games means he has been part of the second best defence in the league , so he has been doing something right.
His ban will mean Stones will return and if he shows the same form as last season Laporte could be in for a long wait to get back in the team , which is why we have such a large high quality squad of players and why we will win the league again this season.

Very harsh. He had a bad game today but he's done great for us. I suspect you might have been saying the same about Stones against these same opponents 2 years ago.

Unfortunately he’s making mistakes some at crucial moments in games,he could play midweek but obviously wont be in the side next saturday or possibly in a run of games now ..
