Will probably get place in the starting eleven when he starts crying again and threatening to leave, not a chance he gets in on ability ahead of Stones.
It was shockingly naive defending though. Zaha did what any clever forward would do.He didn't have a good game, but that sending off was 100% a 'coming together' (instigated by Zaha) at the other end of the pitch.
It wasn't clever from Laporte but roles reversed we wouldn't have been given that foul, I am 100% convinced. It was shockingly naive defending though. Zaha did what any clever forward would do.
i think there was a similar situation today in leicester vs arsenal , and no red for leicesterIt wasn't clever from Laporte but roles reversed we wouldn't have been given that foul, I am 100% convinced.
I do think Cancelo let him down a bit for the red, even though it definitely was poor defending on Laporte's part.
I'm not arguing against Laporte's poor performance, and the defending was 100% bad for the red card. I just meant that if Cancelo had been in a respectable position the ref wouldn't have been able to give the red.Cancelo let himself down - too many shit passes and shots .
But Laporte was his own worst enemy .
Very harsh. He had a bad game today but he's done great for us. I suspect you might have been saying the same about Stones against these same opponents 2 years ago.One of the most overrated players in our squad.
With time on the ball, and where purely conventional defending is required,he looks the part.Put him up against pace or trickery and he gets found out.
Get Stones back in soonest.
