That appalling!

Give me 100+ goes and I'm sure I'd get one on one of our players heads!
 
We had 16 corners against Arsenal. These are supposed to be dangerous goal scoring opportunities but the only danger is the first man getting concussion as he heads every single one clear.
 
With nearly 20 corners any other team would have scored at least 1 today. Game goes 1-1, they wilt and we win the game even with the understrength/unfit team
 
Thank God someone brought this thread back up.

Today was the best example of our poor corner taking. Sixteen. Yes 16 corners, 0 goals. I think we had maybe one shot from a corner..

We are becoming really poor with set pieces all around especially now with Yaya gone.

Time to tell Manuel to please get on that in training. I don't know why we are neglecting these easy points. Could have easily been a 3-2 or 2-2 draw with the corners today if we had converted even a couple of them.
 
Make Silva and Navas take 50 corners each tomorrow morning as punishment. While they're at it have Joe practice at catching a few balls instead of punching them all the fucking time! Shocking.

How, with players the quality of Silva, Nasri, Yaya, Navas, Lampard, Kolarov, Fernandinho, Milner, Jovetic etc and players as good in the air as Mangala, Kompany, Demichelis, Sagna, Fernando, Dzeko and Bony, can we not pose any threat from set-pieces whatsoever?

It really makes no sense.

Can't remember the last time we looked like we were going to score from a corner never mind score ! Jesus Navas needs dropping his performances are by far the worst of any player this season and as for jovetic ....

Make navas defend as he has pace and clearly can't cross the ball when he plays.
