The rags are going to be our competition on all big transfers this summer me thinks. Time to put them in their place with the players we want and not get bullied by them bastards! To be honest 2 or 3 major star signings and them fuckers could be a pain in the arse again!

yeah, the bayern fans here were always saying that Bayern were interested in De Bruyne instead of Reus whenever the links to the latter came.

I wonder of this is true, then we'd have to really outbid bayern (and are bayern likely to spend 50m+ euros on him considering their record purcahse is 40m)?

Bayern are on paper worse off than us as far as ages of key players are concerned (2 wingers and 1 CM) - they could face a wobble like united (but not as severe) which could allow a club with wolfburg's aspirations and financial competitiveness to take advantage.

This would be a pre-emptive double blow - strengthening yourself while simultaneously weakening your rival.

I wonder if Pep will look at his pass accuracy of 75% though. But I am sure he can raise that to high 80's

Those 40M was spent on a defensive, non-flair player in Martinez. I'm sure they would pay 50M+ for a Ribery/Robben replacement. Volkskwagen's (who own Wolfsburg) CEO is a member of Bayern's executive board and there's generally a good relationship between the clubs. Mandzukic, Gustavo and Olic have moved between the two clubs in recent years.

If Bayern are interested I expect that is where he will go, but I wouldn't assume they can/would outbid us. If they bid 50 million Euros for him we bid 35 million pounds and Wolfsburg would take our offer.

Bayern are not notorious spenders so I reckon we could match if not better any offer they put on the table, plus ew have an potential asset Wolfsburg may want in Dzeko.

Bayern have always monitored De Bruyne, ever since his Bremen days. We'd be interested whoever he played for whether it's a Bundesliga rival or a foreign side. This does appear to be a serious move but for him to go anywhere Wolfsburg have to be willing to sell and the player has to want to move to the club offering the cash.

Personally I don't think they will let him go for a year or two, they certainly don't need the money. But if they do I think Bayern have a great chance of getting him
