Another for the love in.
"Fuck me...what a finish"

Listen to the hate. Shameful.

As I tried to get at in an earlier post, for whatever reason, this lad scores important goals: the three point catch and shoot from the corner as the game clock runs out; and the goal that actually has a history-tag attached. The commentators on this video for both his first goals for us (first ever, and first league) were somewhat prescient viz his time served.
"First goal and it's a big one" and "First goal for Manchester City in the Premier League and it could be a big one!".

He was 10 in '96, at around the time the Bosnian war stopped. Hard to be an active player during the siege of your city.

Yeah. I read one day his mum stopped him going to play with his friends, some of whom were then killed by an explosion on the very field Edin would have been playing on. Don't know if that is true, false, or exaggerated.

Yea both Edin and Mirza Teletovic who now plays basketball for the Brooklyn Nets were about the same age in Sarajevo during the siege.

Yeah he survived the siege of Sarajevo (the longest siege of a capital city in the history of modern warfare). He must have been starving as a kid too while trying to play football. Unique story.

Yup I'm for the Edin love in.

Over 50 years of supporting City I have met many players over the years. However the two nicest, most humble and sincere players that I have met are Colin Bell and Edin Dzeko. Both gentlemen and wonderful people to speak to.

Hope some of his haters who sit near me in ES level two read this thread, oh and by the way my use of the word hate is chosen to reflect what I hear whenever he is on the pitch.
Just remember never boo a Blue OK.

thanks pal, at least I am not the only one who has heard this in EL2; those who do it are classless twats

Can someone who has watched City for 50 years post the leading scorers each league winning year please?

Or tell me how nice he is?
