Alistair Darling meant to put his 2p's worth in with George Osbourne but he only had a 1p left!
Kim's arse is sat on both sides of the debate!
Straight to comments. Far more truthful read.
Clearly it makes a huge difference if you don't have to live with the consequences of the referendum. The remain voters living in Australia will not have to worry about say the NHS bring swamped by a million Turkish immigrants or UK bailing out the Euro at some point
I don#t think anyone who does not reside or pay taxes in this country should have a vote on this
My biggest concern is that a very large number of people don't actually know what they are voting for. Some doubtlessly believe it is a referendum on Cameron, others that it is whatever Cameron/Johnson/Osborne/Gove or the media tell them (including what the media say about other branches of the media!).
Some will think it's all about immigration, some employment and some that it's all about money, and I think only a small percentage will actually understand it all properly.
The outright lies, soundbites and misrepresentations for effect (e.g. nett vs gross) are used to muddy things, and the media barons have their alliances to promote (and the allied poltiician has the backing of the media baron to maintain). It's politics in the lowest form of scare stories, from both sides, and often based on dodgy foundations.
So SWP's opinions are valid despite him also being non resident in the UK?
Bingo, I've been saying this for a while now.
As far as I'm aware, there is no need for an emergency budget because if we do leave, then there would have to be a 'divorce deal' done with the EU. Furthermore, even if the majority want out, the government don't have to comply with that. But I could be talking bollocks.
Swp has said he is voting in so what is your point.
Mate eb can look after himself , he is an articulate debater.

To be fair Stoner that is very consistent I have seen many Brexitera belittle the opinions of some of the world foremost economists and our own treasury, financial press and then cite some obscure outdated economist from a right wing think tank or regional university as an absolute guru. I wouldn't expect special treatment that hasn't been given to such luminaries as Obama or every living prime minister, to publications like the economist and Washington post or to the IMF, world bank etcMy point is you question EB's opinion because he doesn't live here but you don't seem to mind the thoughts of other non-resident posters who, coincidentally, seem to agree with you.
I'm voting in, pay tax in the UK and I'm not purposely misrepresenting things that I know are bollocks. So SWP's opinions are valid despite him also being non resident in the UK?
