Correct. We really don'tplus he has bags of energy that we desperately need in our midfield, two footed, a decent tackler, an English international and proven at premiership level....nah we don't need anyone like this... ???
don't get it the rags have players in the England team that are not regular starters so why does he think he wouldn't keep his England place?
Not looking for a fight honest
I really wanted him at City but surely we hopefully by next season will have brought through or signed another player of his ilk
As far as TH is concerned I do believe he has SOME information but u think he's got way too excited way too soon with all the welcome to Manchester crap it seems to me he got the reaction from the forums he wanted.
Your point is fair however there isn't many better home grown in that position that represent value for a squad player. 8m for a squad player Is not too bad if you pay 30 40m for one then questions start to be asked

I agree totally I live in the midlands and the local Villa fans are already hailing this episode as "Good conquering evil" and hailing him as a hero! I appreciate it is early doors but why isn't our PR Department managing these situations better and if the press are accurate in their assessment of our "recruitment drive" so far, then we should be concerned because it looks ham fisted at best...........I disagree. If we were interested in signing Delph it was because we saw a role for him in our squad, and not because he was cheap and home grown. It was somebodies job at our club to sell Manchester City to him, and to be honest that shouldn't have been a hard sell. The chance to win trophies, to play alongside the likes of Silva, Yaya and Aguero, to play against the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid, to play his part in the extremely exciting future that lies ahead at our club, to explain what his role would be and that he would be given plenty of chances to prove his worth. At the end of the day the lad has chosen to play mid-table football (at best), at a club that has zero chance of competing for the title or being in Europe. That's a piss poor decision by Delph and a shit sales pitch by the club.
No, absolutely nothing happens. There is no quota, there is no reason to "fill" it.Does anyone know what actually happens if we don't fulfill our homegrown quota and just named a reduced squad. Say we name 17 Non-HG + Hart/Clichy/Sterling + a few U21s e.g. Lopes, Pozo. Do we receive some sort of punishment? I mean if it's just a small fine is that really going to matter to our owner.
Bullet dodged?
He would of been a 4th choice central midfielder who was HG and at a bargain of a price. The lad can also play and provides something that City need in central midfield and that's energy and legs. That to me would of been a great addition.
That's what I originally thought but all you here in the media is "City need to buy 8 English players"No, absolutely nothing happens. There is no quota, there is no reason to "fill" it.
Teams win matches. Squads win titles. He's not good enough. We don't need to fuck about signing 4th choice midfielders when we need to improve the first team.
So everybody knows something?Haha, ITK wars.
Just goes to show nobody knows jack shit. Including your good self.
