Harry Kane

I'm starting to get the feeling that the senior management were never keen on signing him and that this was being driven almost entirely by Pep. They probably did the minimum to keep Pep content, but knew that there was no way we would close the valuation gap with Levy. Pep is only thinking about this season and next, whilst Khaldoon, Berrada, Ferran and Txiki need to think longer term. Kane is 28, so we should have got two decent seasons out of him but there are no guarantees after that. Pep won't care because he will likely be off, but we could be left with a guy on enormous wages in rapid decline and impossible to get off our books. Ronaldo is a much better fit. He offers everything that we need for a fraction of the cost and he'd be gone after two seasons.
I was trying to convince myself that he was a good shot, the problem is that he is an injury prone and from experience every time we bought a player in that situation ig didn't turn well. Even Aguero who wasn't an injury prone was always injured,

Not much made sense there, the last sentence really took the biscuit though there pal

We better not. Would absolutely reek of desperation and gross incompetence. They've embarrassed themselves enough.

Yes and we will get Charlie Kane to do what Mendes did last 3 days flying around London and Manchester but instead of doing it on a private plane Charlie will have to do it with a glider.

There is a saying that a successful business person is only as good as the team they employ around them…

I have come to the conclusion Harry is as stupid as his brother.

No reason not to try Haaland if you’re going fucking 140 million for Harry Kane.

Thing is Pep wants Kane… he clearly really, really, really wants him.

I do believe there is a good chance that today’s events (and Chelsea signing Lukaku) spur us on into overdrive with the striker hunt.. but it will be Kane at 140-150 mil and no one else (personally I want Haaland BTW).

Fair enough.
4000 pages it is do. Go for it.

To be fair mate I have never been fussed about Kane but I just assumed he would end up here as Pep clearly loves him and we seemed happy to go big on him and publicly too. 2 weeks ago I wouldn’t have been fussed at all if we didn’t get him, maybe even relieved. Problem is a lot has happened in the last 2 weeks in the transfer market across Europe and all of a sudden we have the weakest goal threat out of the big clubs (bar maybe Barca). Everyone seems to be set up for the short term at least and we seem to be a bit lost…
