Is fast food dead?

Was at Heathrow Tue night. We had all decided to have a quick scran (Wetherspoons) ordered a burger called Cheese Meltdown on the app. The ungodly thing arrived within 3 minutes - which was a worry in itself. Inhaled it and the chips like a ravenous hound.

Felt bloated and devoid of energy for a few days. Although the long-ish flight doesn't help.

Have only just felt back to normal today. Prior to that had been training well and eating clean. The filthy thing completely fucked up the way I felt and functioned.

Stupidly ordered a pizza from papa johns tonight.
Fast food, nope.Took 2 hours to get here.
An own goal by my own admission thinking this place may have upped it's game after a hugely disappointing food experience from them a while back but I took advantage of a 'deal' on uber eats.
30 quid for 2 cold, crap piles of shite.
Before the discount it was 60 quid!
Never again.

Occasionally if I have travelled back after a night match, unable to use the kitchen for whatever reason or after a long journey in the car and can't be arsed cooking.

Probably average one a week, we have our chippy, kebab shop and Chinese that we use who all produce good food at a decent price.

I had a Maccies breakfast last month, my kitchen wasn't available , it was ok but, thrown together however, I won a free double cheeseburger in the Monopoly promo.

Now I can't remember the last time I had a burger from there and I should have just not bothered....bread crap, cheese crap, burgers like cardboard. As I handed over my freebie token I noticed they were £2.49...I suppose £2.49 isn't expensive for a burger but it still wasn't anywhere near VFM.
