The way we got behind him on saturday was top notch.

The lad needed some moral support and we gave it to him.

I stayed and clapped all the players off the pitch and I can tell you Joe was in bits at the end and very emotional.

Fookin love Joe Hart me.

He clearly appreciated the support and made a point of applauding and pointing to his chest towards each stand but he was hardly in bits :)

I noticed on Saturday that whenever he made a save or caught a cross he got a lot of pats on the back and applause from the other City players, they clearly understand he's under pressure and want to help him through it. Negredo in particular did this, after he scored he seemed to motion to Hart as if to say "that one's for you" and he gave him a big bear hug at the end of the game.

He was he normally just waves to his mates/family above family stand but applauded all areas of ground, and clearly picked up on the way we got behind him. It was noticeable as most games he almost ignores crowd just to wave upwards and his admirers in the box above level 2.

Fair do's - I may have embelished it a tad but he was visibly moved

My love for Negredo just went a little higher. What a bloke.

As for Joe, i said we needed to support him through this shit and he will come out a betetr keeper if we continue to do so. Let him be our number 1 for another 10 years. He can break all sorts off records.

Just seen Kasper S gift Doncaster a win by dropping a corner into his own net. Joe has never let one In so bad - even taking Southampton away into account.

Apparently his old fella bluedolf has been banging on about a save De Banks made on Saturday being one of the best ever. Alan Curbishley on ssn says that he would've been disappointed if a keeper of his hadnt made it.
Seems to me that the c)unt's using the media to crank up the pressure on our Joe a notch.

As a man who couldn't give two shits about England I'd love it if he just fucked the whole lot of them off.

Let Ruddy and Forster deal with the dogs abuse the media seem to revel in dishing out to players who dare try to play in goal for England.

Think this shows exactly how much Hart needs to genuine competition for his place in the first team.
This game was his chance to prove that he could take over from Given and he put in one of the best performances I've ever seen from a professional footballer. Panti is a great keeper, but he's not good enough to make Joe feel like he's got to work for his place in the team.

Some absolute nonsense written/said about Joe in last week.
The BBC commentator couldnt wait to point out at evry opportunity"questions will be asked about harts effort to save Lukakus shot" Shearer put him right straight away.
Tim Howard conceedes 3,even scores one of them himself and should have done better with our first but rates a 7 in the paper and Joe gets a 5.

The witch hunt has been pathetic.Yes we all know Joe should have done better on a few occassions but so could Sergio in front of goal or Silva with some of his passes or Yaya with some of his work.

didnt read too many hysterical headlines when the chelsea second went through Ruddy on Sunday.

We have a top quality keeper who will come through this blip in form.

From the OS today :

Press coverage and blames the media spotlight for putting unfair pressure on Joe Hart.

Ruddy, one of Joe’s rivals for the England No.1 position, could just have easily have kept his counsel and allowed the relentless focus on the City keeper to continue to his advantage, but he has been less than impressed with the way journalists and pundits have targeted the Blues’ stopper.

Matt McGeehan writing in The Independent reports: "But Ruddy, whose single England appearance to date came in a friendly win over Italy, for now has no pretensions on the England goalkeeper jersey he believes Hart fully deserves.

’Joe's the England number one. Rightly so,’ Ruddy said. ‘The way he's performed over the last few years he's deserved it and he's never let England down.

‘I've been in situations before when people are questioning you. It's never nice. Without being too patronising, I felt sorry for him.

...John Ruddy...

‘It's the way the media is - you build people up so far and then chop their legs away when they get too high.

‘Unfortunately that's the way the English media goes. Until that stops we might struggle to go anywhere in competitions.’”

Well said Mr Ruddy.

Darren Plant, quoting Sky Sports on Caught Offside (it's complicated) also relays backing for Joe, this time from the man who leads the national team out on a regular basis.

He writes: "England skipper Steven Gerrard has also leapt to the defence of his team-mate as Joe continued to dominate the headlines.

“The 33-year-old told Sky Sports News: ‘I think that Joe has set such high standards that and people expect it of him all of the time, which is impossible.

‘At the moment, he is going through a bit of a tough time, but he has the ability and the character to play his way through it.

...Steven Gerrard...

So his peers think far differently than the press. No change there then.

joe hart is a player, he isnt gonna let this get to him at all. just the press looking for a wind up.

Even though I'm one of his critics I give a shit because if he plays badly that will heap more pressure on him which in turn could affect his performances for City.

Every keeper has a rough patch,Joe is having his at the moment and like those before him he will come out of it a better player. Media love to slate Engurrlunds finest( swamp dwellers excluded) at any given chance cos they are just so good that way,if it gets too much he should quit like those before him and leave the national team and gutter press to pick a new scape goat.
Keep the faith in Citys #1

LOL at that twit Keane on ITV. He couldn't wait to rip into Joe. He's a hypocrite of the highest order - how someone as opinionated and self-important as he can call someone else 'arrogant' is laughable, even if it were true.

Hope Joe shoves the words down his throat and leaves the mistakes behind him.

Yeah, Dixon's usually very fair and being a Blue it was good to see him defend him. Walcott on the other hand just sat there agog.

It might not be very patriotic but I like the Rooney idea though :-D

He's like an old fart down the pub, he's only got one story and he'll tell it to anybody who'll sit down at his table for more than a few seconds. Bitter doesn't even come close to describing how he feels about our rise to power and he lets it all spill out when he talks about Joe.

"I'd have dropped him six months ago" - Yes Roy, and that's why you made such a success of your managerial career.

I think RK was right , he can comment on it because he's been there seen it and done it, he is more than qualified to give an opinion, there's no doubt in my mind that JH and others have been cocky as hell since we scraped the title on goal difference and are now finding it hard to get back into the winning mindset.

I've been saying it for a while now, JH should be rested and made to feel that he has to fight for the shirt(s), until that happens he will find his form indifferent at best IMO .
