gutted yesterday, but we have to back our players, joe is having a bad run of form, he needs the support of the fans, with our help he can get back to his best, football is a confidence game, lets rally round and help one of our own, not hang him out to dry.
This is my view too

No argument he's making mistakes, but at the moment I hope he plays his way through this dip in form

We have a huge squad of highly paid players. If someone is out of form or emotionally not right then we should not play them. We drop players who have had good games all the time ( Milner ). The players should all be big enough to handle the embarassment. It's part of football. Any player dropped should show their character by working even harder in training and proving the manager wrong. Joe is a top keeper but needs to vastly improve his decision making. A few weeks in the class room will do him no harm whatsoever. No player should be guaranteed a start. It should be earned on merit.

Could be worse. Note that cnut tyler was sneering even back then!

I was thinking about that yesterday, I was behind the goal to the left in the away enclosure [obviously].

Shit happens. Move on. Supporting God's Own Football Team is not for knee jerking soft arses.

If he finds it very difficult to motivate himself because he is assured his place then it is a personality flaw which will stop him from being a top draw keeper. I think that is a shit argument.

Personally, I don't like him and never have and am not jumping on a bandwagon.

He is not good enough. The powers that be have a difficult decision to make.

It is only because he is "Englands No 1 " that he is still between the sticks for us.

Spot on mate! Absolutely agree![/quote

Had fuck all to do most of the title winning season with then imperious defence in front of him.

If he finds it very difficult to motivate himself because he is assured his place then it is a personality flaw which will stop him from being a top draw keeper. I think that is a shit argument. This bit of your quote tells me you know nothing about sport or the mindset of a sports person.

You tell me a world class keeper at the top of his game that needed motivating by having another one breathing down his neck.

It doesn't happen.

The very top keepers are just that and know it and do not need motivating in that way.

They are motivated by knowing they are the best and have an innate desire to win and total confidence in their ability.

Do you believe that if we signed a world class keeper tomorrow and stuck him on the bench to put "pressure" on Hart that he would somehow miraculously improve his performances and cut out his stupid mistakes ?

Your talking garbage.

No that's not what I'm saying at all..............get a world class keeper and put JH on the bench as tell him to fight for a chance, if he threatens to leave just get rid.

Hope he's in bed tonight thinking about that shocker of an error just as much as the rest of us all are. I've not been that angry after a game in a long, long time. Hart really does need a huge kick up the arse, because he's been absolutely woeful for about a year now.

couldnt have put it better myself

Trust me he will be out on the piss or in a casino football will be the last thing on his mind.

PMSL!!!

Yeah, I can totally see that joe hart, multimillionaire, England goalkeeper and world star would let a load of goals in and risk his England and city place, his whole tens of-million pound-generating career along with all of his self respect for the sake of a bag of tenners.

Makes total sense.

And man never landed on the moon.

Actually no, that's not a comparable analogy. The moon is made of cream cheese. That's better ;-)

Words fail me. They truly do.

So we would have won the cup if we sold Hart last January.

Was his replacement going to score?

I don't understand why people keep saying dip in form. He has not been in form for 2 seasons already he won't regain it.

One hell of a dip, eighteen months!

When did it all start to go wrong? Was it before mancini told him to keep his gob shut?

Jonathan Pearce couldn't be more anti city if he tried, he was almost rubbing himself off over harts mistake and he was about as miserable as victor meldrew when aguero scored

I wonder if Madrid would take Hart as part of a swap involving Casillas?

I fear Hart's stock has been driven down to the point most clubs here would try and leg us over on a fee.

But for Madrid, it might even appeal to Ancelotti?

Casillas is only 32 and look what the likes of Buffon and Van der Sar achieved going into that period of their careers.

Madrids number 2 under their last 2 managers and a guy that leaked destabilising info to the press while he was captain? His size may well be a problem for a keeper in the Prem as well.

No thanks.

So many people on here think they have a silver bullet. Just buy X or Y. Or restore Z to the first team. In many cases the replacement is unavailable, unproven, suspect or washed up.

Doesn't matter whether it stands up to scrutiny; just fucking do it.

Read pellegrini is reviewing joe harts position ..good news that he might not be able to take his shit anymore either..I hope he has the testicular fortitude to bench that cocky fuck for another keeper

This doesn't feel like a 'dip in form'. He's been a liability since the beginning of last season. A 'dip in form' might be for half a dozen games, not 40+. It seems that he is an average keeper who had a very good season, which can happen to a young one, rather than an exceptional keeper who's been average or less for over a season, which tends not to happen to a keeper of true international class. He also comes across as an individual who rates himself very highly, which bites you on the arse when you turn out to be shite.

Time to get rid.

Agreed. That's being logged away for future use/plagiarism!

Yet he kept most clean sheets, yes truly a liability.

I was as angry as anyone with his ricket yesterday, but there are some ridiculous comments in so many threads. He is costing us points this season, and for that, I expect the manager will act, but it doesn't make him a bad keeper overnight, and he will return to form. Most keepers have a collapse in form at some point, but they return to form eventually, what he really needs is competition, so that he ups his game.
