I think dropping him for the Norwich game is the right decision. But I would like to see him back for the CSKA game. I think anything longer than the Norwich game will cause him problems. should be enough to instill the focus he needs.

Depends how Pantillimon plays tomorrow. If he has a good game, Hart stays on the bench for me. Pantillimon has a chance to claim the number one spot now and Joe needs to get sharper so he is ready to take his chance again, if and when it arrives.

According to some reports Joe has been dropped for tomorrow's game. What are your thoughts?

Don't know where they get this from. I should Pellers would tell the two goalies first and he has already sez he will decide tomorrow!

It was confirmed 2 hours ago by a BBC correspondent at the ground apparently.

And he knows How?

I'm sorry but I don't care how bad Hart has been playing you can't throw pants with zero champs league experience into such an important game. Hart played well last champs league game so see no reason to risk playing pants because he had a good game against bloody Norwich (if he does).

Exactly If Pants excels he stays - Joe now needs to bide his time wait for his chance to re affirm his place - as I said in another thread if pants turns out to be a red nosed fucker/yashin/shilts crossover then he may never see first team again, but who loses ? we've got a great keeper between the sticks. The chances are he will perhaps have a bad game and Joe will come back in, but either way my concerns are not with England who will win fuck all anyway but with Man City. Joe needs this, and to be fair Costel deserves his chance

I reckon Pants will play all the games up until the international break. Then after that, could see us rotating the two till January, a la De Gea and Lindegaard. If Joe finds his form, h';ll get his place back. If not, he won't. Reckon hodgson will play either Forster or Ruddy in the friendlies too. Big moment for Joe;s career this.

The counter argument to that is that bringing Hart back straight away on Tuesday puts him even more in the spotlight at a time when his confidence is at a low point. If Pants has a solid game tomorrow he should keep his place.

I could have a good game against Norwich, sure Hart will soon get his form back sat on the bench.

Depends. If you think Pantillimon is being played tomorrow to give Hart a slap on the wrist, then I can see your point of view. But I would much prefer if we had a stable first choice keeper.

If true that hart is dropped more worrying thing is who is the mole who went running to the media?

Could be Hart himself if he allegedly left training with a fucking big gob on him. What the fuck did he expect ? I`ve supported Joe on many occasion but sometimes you have to say, enough is enough.
Its now down to Joe to get that number one position back. He`s probably all fucked up, as it could harm his England place, but at least Woy loves him.

Yeah me to Joe Hart.

What if, just for a short while, we swap Joey and Pants' responsibilities.

Play Big Pants for the league and Champions League
Play Joey for the League Cup and the FA Cup

Shows Joey he's not irreplaceable, but also appeases him so he won't want to leave altogether.

Joe has to be dropped. Pants has not let us down at all in any of the games he has played for City, imagine if you were in his shoes and you see Hart making mistake after mistake but still not getting dropped, you'd be getting pretty pissed off and would think well, there's no way I'll ever get a chance at this club. Plus, if MP and the team do think that longer term, Hart may not be our number 1 and needs a sterner challenge, who's going to come to the club knowing that no matter how shit Hart plays, he doesn't get dropped?
Plus, it's gettin to the stage where these dropped points Hart has cost us in the league with his mistakes are now reflecting badly on the management team and they'll be looking at protecting themselves more than showing "loyalty" to a struggling player.
I'm sure Joe will be back but for now, the GK slot is Panty's to lose for a bit.

Some people talk about Pants as some pathetic Rookie, he was Romania's national no1 when we signed him, sure he's dropped down from being a club understudy yet he still gets called up. This is not the Faroes, Malta or Cyprus, Equally he's not spanish, italian or dutch but Romanian so fuck him ey. Seriously though its not like England are much better, to be fair we might just have ended up playing em had we dropped some points in those last two games. Its all ok us having a mope about poor joe but what about poor Costel. He's been pretty proffesional in how he's carried on since we got him in, he was I repeat Romania's 1, lost that and only moaned last season bout seeking a move, to be fair we should probably have granted it.

Well if joe has been dropped for tomorrow's game, then maybe it will act as a kick up the arse for him,and get him back to where he belongs amongst the best keepers around....

Yeah getting paid £30k+ a week to do a bit of training and sit on his arse for 90 minutes my fucking heart bleeds for him.

Exactly. Playing Costel is no more of a risk than playing Joe on current form. May I also add that Costel's last European match was against us and he was superb hence the reason we signed him?

Thanks. His last European match was against us and he was superb hence the reason we signed him.

What has joe's earnings got to do with it? You were going on about "poor Costel" like he was playing for us for free. He knew exactly what the situation would be when he signed he'd be back up keeper and get very limited game time but instead of sticking at his current club or going to a team he'd be first choice he chose the pay day at city. So don't go on about how professional he's been not getting picked because that's exactly what he was signed for.

Fella, I never brought weekly wages into it YOU DID , I'm going on about poor Costel cos fools are making out Joe should get a permanent berth as no1 despite how well or more pertinently how badly he plays. CP knew very well the situation hence why he has barely uttered a word of dissent and when he did it cost him the biggest game of his career. Are you seriously slagging a back up keeper for collecting his pay check, sorry pal but you are one massive dickhead.

Seriously are you really this thick or is it an act? I wasn't fucking slagging Costel for picking up his pay cheque you pleb. You were making out like he was being mistreated and a brave little boy for not moaning about getting game time and I said I don't feel sorry for people getting silly money to sit on their arse and that is it. I'm done now anyway I can actually feel myself getting stupider just conversing with you.
