True, but a year ago we didn't really play with a striker, and we did play with an attack-minded right-footed LB.we dont play with an attacking LB
Any hints on a destination for Laporte then? :(Personal terms agreed.
Why?What a waste of money.
Stones and Ake are injury prone, Dias has had issues, if Laporte does leave he needs to be replaced.I like him but I don't see how we get him. I know Laporte is leaving. But that's coz we had 5 CBs. Laporte leaving leaves us with 4.
I'd rather get a proper 6 like Ugarte or Kimich taking over the John Stones role and Stones returning to playing CB.
It's overcrowded at Centerback as is.
Plus Ake is basically a lb now. In the new system there is need for 5 cbs.Stones and Ake are injury prone, Dias has had issues, if Laporte does leave he needs to be replaced.
I must have turned into an illiterate. Pressed on the Josip Gvardiol thread and it’s all about Kimmich and Cancelo.
Yep. It's best to view thread titles as nothing more than the temporary expression of a subject idea at a specific point in the past.We can’t stay on topic on this forum, we have complex minds.
Same here, if its either or. Dias prefers playing on the left of the centre back pairing as does Aké, plus we have THB coming back from Burnley who deserves a shot so even if Laporte leaves (and I'd prefer to keep him and will be sorry to see him go) we have plenty of options in the centre of defence. With Foden looking like he's moving centrally recently we have exactly 0 left footed wide players in the squad.I’d rather sign a left back or wide attacker than Gvardiol even if Laporte is leaving.
THB will be sold to Burnley most likely, Dias prefers left in a four, Pep wants a left footer most of the time and definitely in the 3 if he can. Gvardiol broke through playing LB for club and country. He's pretty perfect for how we setup currently.Same here, if its either or. He' got a cagoule.Don't get the mad hype around this guy. I've seen him a fair few times over the last 12 months for club and country and he's never stood out to me whatsoever. Not to say he was bad in either game, but I didn't notice anything he seemed to be exceptional at.
All sipped up to the top?He' got a cagoule.
yep.All sipped up to the top?
