Can I ask on what authority you have taken it upon yourself to speak for the fan base at large, I spoke to a number of people at the game yesterday and most seemed sorry that, if true it hadn't worked out for him and what's more sad that he might be leaving. I WOULD AGREE THAT'S NOT A VIEW HELD BY EVERYBODY, but to claim that you don't think anybody is heartbroken about him going, is foolish and plain wrong. To me, it seems that this is again a case of an official from the OSC taking it upon himself to become a mouthpiece for the rest of us without giving a seconds thought to our view, although perhaps this time unknowingly.General said:For clarification
I haven't worked for MCFC in over 4 years
I do not dye my hair (who would dye their hair grey ?)
The ear-ring went some time ago
I have had a season ticket since 1973 so have suffered the pain and enjoyed the pleasure of City like the rest on here. I love this Club and all it represents

Has always historically been made up of 'old men' on committees, who feel 'important' because they are allowed to make decisions as to whether they have a meat pie supper, or bingo.
'1949' is the year they are all still living in.
Not like that at the "Blues in Bandit Country" OSC in Stretford, can say without doubt that Terry and Cliff to mention two, run a cracking supporters club, and would recommend to anyone.
Being General Secretary of the Official Supporters gives no authority to speak for the fanbase of any club let alone one that has more than one supporters club AND in a day and age when most people that follow the club aren't even in either! And the use of the word ANYBODY ropes us all in.scall said:DontLookBackInAnger said:Can I ask on what authority you have taken it upon yourself to speak for the fan base at large
Kevin's the General Secretary of the Official Supporters Club, and his name and contact details are on the OSC site.
If you're a reporter and wanted a 'fans view' on an issue, logic would send them to the Official Supporters Club website to see if they have a spokesman. They would get Kevins number off there. Journalists, as we all know, are lazy. They won't bother ringing around more than one City fan to get an opinion, or try to judge the majority view. They would simply ask one person a view, and pass it off as the 'fans view'.
I don't think Kevin is saying he speaks for the fans at large, but is merely offering an opinion on issues when asked.
