The problem with the conspiracies is they had no real motive to delay the game. They didn't get any players back, they didn't have a less congested fixture list, Arsenal were strengthened.

FSG have a history of cheating in sports their teams compete in. Not saying Liverpool have. The evidence is there with regards other franchises they own.

So the PCR testing was done by BioGrad, no link there and they weren't investigated by the EFL whose Chairman happens to be Rick Parry, no link there.

Parry's name turns up everywhere. He was a "security consultant" for the regime in Qatar for their "totally clean" World Cup bid. He's still a board member at New York Cosmos who are competing against New York City FC to build a new stadium in New York. He was also on the UEFA Investigations Committee during their FFP investigaton into Manchester City. Of course he is very media friendly and I'm sure he is very welcome in the Etihad boardroom whenever he visits our club.

Ask yourself, seriously, what is more likely.

Liverpool risk genuinely extreme punishment by engineering fake positive test results to delay a game by 1 weak without any sporting advantage.

or

Dalglish pulled a few strings to send some Liverpool FC money the way of his daughters tiny biotech lab, and it backfired spectacularly when the tiny, unqualified lab cocked up the tests.

Liverpool don’t risk genuine punishment because they don’t get punished.

It does seem far fetched but why would they;

- use a lab not recommended
- ask for a postponement before they know the results.
- don’t seem the slightest bit concerned that the contractors they’ve engaged in the work have caused them to cancel a fixture.
- EFL not investigate - why wouldn’t you want to know to avoid it occurring again.

This is another one of those half truths that's the conspiracy wing of the forum has run with. FSG haven't got a history of cheating, they employed a coach who was found to be cheating when he managed another team.

You accusing Liverpool of cheating because the Red Sox were tangentially related to a scandal is like RAWK thinking everyone at City dopes because Pep failed a drugs test in Italy.

And that's still not a motive for Liverpool delaying a game when they got no benefit from it. No less congestion, no players back, and Arsenal did get players back.

Liverpool had Robertson (suspended), Van Dijk and Fabinho had been out through Covid and he wasn't sure if Mane and Salah would be allowed to stay and play the Chelsea game. He was bemoaning the fact he was already down to the bare bones and was attempting to kick the can down the road.

You have forgotten that LFC hacked data from our Scouting system software and the person alleged to have done it (Michael Edwards) was promoted to Sporting Director.

Why do we have to prove a motive.

If there was an investigation it would find why it occurred. I would say the motivation for Parry not investigating was that the outcome could be embarrassing / criminal.
