Sure it was but I think they knew what was going to happen. After winning the first game in heart stopping manner, Mets got shutout in the second game. Actually the Mets starting pitcher did well. He only gave up one run in six innings. Mets just didn’t hit and think they weren’t too arsed..
 
Tigers take the first game against the Astros. Feels like a fairytale story in the making with the Tigers. I guess having the best pitcher in baseball helps, but i never expected to be watching baseball in October.

Can't put anything past them now, surely? We know it's "house money" so to speak to even be in the post season and with that fearless approach I don't think any team particular wants to play the Tigers at the moment.

Do you reckon Skubal gets game one or the full rest and game two?
 
Cleveland, Detroit, and Kansas City all through from the AL Central. Maybe the White Sox season wasn’t really that bad…

I think he will yes. 5 days rest and he's been so dominant it gives them a great chance to get off to a strong start in the series.

Normal rest will have him pitching in game 2 and that seems to be what it’s looking like right now, although I wouldn’t be too surprised if that changes. I’m a Guardians season-ticket holder, so will be at both games this weekend. Looking forward to seeing Skubal pitch, not seen him live yet. I think it’ll be a wild series.

The experts at work think he'll pitch on Saturday so he can pitch game 3 at home on Wednesday.
They also think you're similar to Houston and think the Tigers can win it!
 
Mets unbelievable!! OMG!! The worst part is I missed it. Usually put the game on DvR and watch it in the morning without knowing the result if I am not out of town.

Bastard DVR/box not working properly. Hot up at 0330 yesterday for work and only lasted to the 6 th when it was still 0/0.

I have dogged Quintana but he has been lights out the last two months. Alonso has been poor the last 6 weeks but wow what time to hit one!!

Haven’t checked but I assume Mets are big dogs vs Philly. Don’t really care as we are playing with house money now but I hate those classless twats…

Too bad the local broadcast team aren’t allowed to do the games as well. Gary, Tonnie, and Keith are BY FAR the best watch in all of sports!!!!

The Guardians hit well against lefties and got 10 hits off Skubal the last time they faced him back in July. To be fair, he kept them to just the one run that game and the Tigers did go on to win it. Like I said before, it’s going to be an entertaining series and it’s tough to call either way.

For us Mets fans as Tug said " you gotta believe ".
Would be nice for the team that brought National league baseball back to New York, however being a Mets fan is more in kin with being a City fan through the bad years, with the scum in Brookln taking the piss.
