KB highlight viddy, put it here for posterity's sake
I'm a referee & regularly officiate at the CFA doing u16s/u18's level, so have seen alot of these players come through the ranks.
- Reigan Heskey is a brilliant player, plays off the left wing and knows where the net is - will go a long way if he carries on.
I like Headley (fullback) and Kian Noble at CH, who stepped down from the EDS side to play. Also Batty, Gorman and Fapetu in midfield, but they are a little behind the others.Mukasa, McAidoo, Mfuni, Braithwaite and R.Heskey look like the best talents from what I've seen in the games I've gotten to watch.
Anyone else catching eyes?
Like QuoteA good read that, thanks for posting.Seems as good a place as any for @Joe Corrigan's Superstitions post from the main forum.
"Nice positive article on the Academy in the DM today from Jack Gaughan. Not sure if this is the right place to post it but I couldn't see a "General Chat" thread in the Academy Forum, it all seemed to be about specific players and matches. Feel free to re-post where appropriate."
Un-paywalled article here: Access all areas in Man City's world-leading academy: JACK GAUGHAN reveals the secrets of their success including AI, basketball and strict rules on phones, socks and boots

I think it only happened at Barca out of necessity due to the financial mess, won’t happen here. Be nice to see a lot of them have top careers elsewhere with 1 or 2 staying, anymore I think is unrealistic.Hopefully we start to see an increase in talent now coming through to the senior squad. Barcelona's most recent matchday squad for the CL game against Dortmund included around 10 academy graduates..
Yep, although we are starting 3 today with another on the bench. In any other season, Foden would have made number 5.I think it only happened at Barca out of necessity due to the financial mess, won’t happen here. Big squads allowed for cwc and I think Pep will be cautious about overplaying his regulars after a long season so a good number of the kids will go. That should be an indication who they think is closer to the required level, and maybe one or two may have a moment and grasp the opportunity
Was just thinking that, pretty impressive stat. Man United the self proclaimed leaders in transition from youth to current squad couldn’t match that I don’t thinkYep, although we are starting 3 today with another on the bench. In any other season, Foden would have made number 5.
And a good few of our ex academy players will be starting with other Premier league teams today.Yep, although we are starting 3 today with another on the bench. In any other season, Foden would have made number 5.

With the caveat that it is "only" La Liga with RM having an odd season themselves. The PL is much more competitive top to bottom, as last seasons promotion teams found out to their cost.I guess what it's proved with Barca is that it can work even though they had little choice
