Group of mates went to see Led Zeppelin at Knebworth in 1979. I could have gone but didn't. Still regret it 46 years on.

I always associated bucket hats with Reni and Stone Roses fans, and the early 90s/early Prodigy/pre-Happy Hardcore breakbeat rave scene, rather than Oasis and Oasis fans.

Having a look at British Culture Archive photos of 90s Oasis gigs, apart from the very obvious one in the foreground here, there isn’t a bucket hat to be seen:

I sat on the second row of the top tier at Wembley for the 2023 FA Cup final and had to grab the waistband of the lad’s jeans in front of me to stop him falling over the edge. He was on his way over after losing his balance.

It’s not very safe at all there. The wall is only above knee height if you’re tall.

Unsure how it doesn’t happen more often at Wembley. I know it did happen in the 2020(2021) Euros as well though.

Plus it’s nice to say that we were there and it won’t happen again.. selfish??

We’re off to Murrayfield on Saturday.. Wish I’d tried to do both nights now after seeing the reviews.. we’ve seen NGHFB a few times and they’re brilliant so it’s no surprise that oasis have been top notch

I was at Knebworth with my two Brothers but don’t think we took a camera with us so no pics.. one passed three years ago.. I wish we were all going this time

I went to the concert last night and can honestly say it’s one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to.

It felt really special and it’s rare to go to an event with that atmosphere and general buzz before, during and after the concert. London was full of oasis fans. I had my 72 city shirt on and there were so many city fans in shirts as well.

Personal highlights for me were acquiesce, which is an absolute banger, talk tonight, cast no shadow and rock and roll star. The set list was ridiculously good and liams voice was great, especially compared to a few years ago

I was in the cheap seats, so couldn’t see any of the screens or anything, but it didn’t matter. Felt very lucky to be there.

I will say coming out of Wembley is a nightmare. It took hours to get back to the place we were staying.

My mates just got a ticket for Sao Paulo, would love to go with him but got New York end of October, and possibly City euro away depending on who we draw.

Renis were big 89-92 and were very common at City matches, gigs and raves.

Made a resurgence at gigs when the Roses tribute bands started popping up 97ish.

Made another resurgence when the Roses returned in 2012 and 2016 and a further one with the Oasis reunion. Oasis fans, through their link to Manchester have piggybacked it. It was always a Roses thing.

Outside of those periods you might see the odd one or two at festivals.
