This saga reminds me of that Dickens court probate case Jarndyce v Jarndyce in Bleak House.
It’s not what he said, it’s the fact he responded about a huge confidential matter to a random member of the publicBy saying "I know nothing"? Get over your bad self. I like the fact he took the time to respond, makes him seem like he cares. Are you interested why our highly paid chairman and manager have said the same things, actually in terms of the latter he went further and stated that the verdict would be "this month" (April I think)?
Maybe, but if that was the case, I think Stefan is making the distinction that we are several years past that time for us. The ship has sailed and in fact landed at its destination! We are waiting a long time for people to depart the ship however.True but the point is the government have possibly intervened due to political reasons.
It did involve certain clubs but its overt nature means it is not a conspiracy. The last thing I am is a conspiracy theorist. However do you not think the whole 115 issue was a conspiracy between certain Clubs? If you think this has just been discussed in the last 5 days you are naive. Kogan was virtually confirmed in the post last April and it is unlikely he has been sat on his hands since then. It's just the way these things get sorted

I think Arsenal, Newcastle, United and maybe Villa? were investigated by HMRC over various issues around this and also image rights payments and had to pay back tax.I watched a feature about David Murray a while ago and I think what happened in the end was that the IR insisted on the tax due on the loans and Rangers cwners of the time couldn't pay which was the final straw.
I don't have the details at my fingertips but shouldn't Arsenal also be liable for tax on this.
That’s the problem though when rules are proposed, voted on by members and put into action, it will always be arguable that some sort of collusion and coercion has happened. It doesn’t necessarily mean it is a conspiracy, but I do agree that certain parties have too much say in all of this.Easily confused then. I'm challenging the poster who claims not to believe in conspiracies as to whether there might have been one in relation to the 115 charges.
The typical type of answer from the conspiracy theorists. Just throw some generalisations and comments like "this is just how the world (or word) works". In fact, that you think situations can be buried days into a new IFR after a 5 year process is actually the real naivety and given you arrived here in Feb 2025, you are quite possibly not old enough to have much idea at all how the World works.
By all means come back to this when you are proved right which presumably is days away?
As if.

Even if that were significant, which I can’t quite see, the trial has finished. You seemed to have overlooked the fact there was been a change of Govt 15 months ago

I think in a case such as this there might be degrees of guilt, perhaps surprising, and therefore any sentence should reflect that. Perhaps those driving this case did not agree with this view and wanted the nuclear option in sentencing. Pure speculation I know but something has been going on for such a delayEven if that were significant, which I can’t quite see, the trial has finished.
If we are found innocent it’s because we haven’t done anything not because the Government has told the panel to come to that conclusion…much as I would like to believe it if it helped us!
