Our mentally strong players where either off the pitch or showing signs of age in Fernandhino. KDB a go too sitting on the bench and Walker too. As hard as this is to take it will make the squad stronger. We just need to know how to close out the games better than tonight and we have done that time and time again over the past 10 years. Tonight 2 great deliveries into the box kill us for there goals. Then we give away another penalty . Two in two legs cost us the most. Also so many missed chances. Its annoying as we created so much in both games we just couldnt get the killer goal in both games home and away to kill them off its back fired big time. The first leg no Walker and Cancelo cost us the most of both legs but that football for you. We will be back bigger and stronger and with more of a point to prove next season. In Pep and the staff and team we are building we will become stronger stronger just need to have that faith.
 
Didn’t see that coming thought we were home and hosed.
Scouse have the momentum, need some minerals now to retain the league.
Our squad is blowing out of its arse.

Funny thing about this is that we would probably win it with our weakest squad down the road, it's that way for some teams. Kind of like Di Matteo and Tuchel's Chelsea.

We shot ourselves in the foot tonight but the ref was a prick.

yep, exactly. All boils down to game management from those on the pitch.. not the manager.
 
Did really well in the CL but fucked the game management up in the last ten mins.

Let's not overreact. Im embarrassed as anyone but we played a really good game over 2 legs other than that.

Not sure Sterling has a future with us anymore or that he was ever really good enough. We've been short on the wing since Sane left.

Need 2 strikers not 1 and need a replacement for Dino.
We're good other than that.

Let's hope we can go on and win the league now.

Khm, khm,...,Spurs at home, losing a game in that way has prepared me for this crap tonight. Although i could not believe it could actually happen. The dippers at home, but even before, losing to Spurs after having 143 shots on goal ...Southampton x 2, Crystal Palace x 2, do you see the pattern? Every time it was made hard for us, we obligingly folded up. I understand people here want to put on a brave face, but for me it is not about losing a game, it is about the manner of losing it.

As much as we cry out for a striker, people should be conscious of the reduction of chances we create, hopefully a clinical striker negates that, but make no mistake, less dominance is inevitable in terms of creative opportunities..

If you just want a shot stopper then let's sell off Ederson and buy Pickford. Then when we are conceding goals because he can't play it out properly, or when the team can't play through presses we can then call him out as being to blame and resign Ederson, or we could just play them both in net, best of both worlds

Not a conspiracy perhaps but it's clear some teams get the decisions and some don't. As the post you replied to said, Liverpool haven't had a pen given against them for 46 games/15 months. Sterling and Foden do get fouled often and don't get pens, even if the former especially does go over too easily at times - plenty of others get them. Yes we get some soft pens but we have players in the box a lot of the time and don't get anywhere near as many as we should. Foul given against Foden tonight in ET after the defender went over the top of him, even the RM biased commentary called it out.

im not gonna be down about this, I’m hardened to disappointment. I’m a die hard blue who was there in division 2 like many, many of you.

Let’s ride this wave while we can because you never know when we’ll come crashing down. Be proud that we’re playing in these matches, and that there’s a very good chance that the best young striker in world football is joining us imminently.

if we get Haaland, we’re winning everything.
