Should have stayed home.
Final voice message of a Russian soldier (from Russia’s 83rd Assault Brigade, Ussuriysk) recorded on his phone:
️ “As long as the 'birds' (referring to drones) aren't circling above us, we're hiding and trying to rest. Before that, we were just running — where to, we didn't even know ourselves.”
️ “We have no strength left. We haven’t eaten or drunk anything for three days. There's no support. I’m terribly thirsty. The commander is wounded, and I’m taking over his duties.”
️ “‘Fara’ isn’t responding on the radio — probably dead. Behind me the guys are lying... I counted five ‘300s’ (wounded), and four ‘200s’ (dead), horribly mutilated. No one is going to come looking for them.”
️ “We don’t know what to do. We have no strength left. Our legs won’t carry us. We’re out of ammo. That’s it. We’ll surrender. We can’t take it anymore — at least this way we might stay alive.”
️ “Guys, if you're hearing this — don’t even think about signing any contracts. It’s over. I can already hear the buzzing of the ‘birds’.”
