Season Ticket Pricing as a result of Stadium Expansion

Agreed that part of the move was a cock up.

I don't agree.

ST holders were given the opportunity to take the corresponding seat at CMS (as it was then) as they'd had at Maine Road.

Admittedly, we had to pay for the first year's ST at CMS well ahead of usual, but practically all those who sat around me at Maine Road were still there at CMS.

Yes, the majority of people sat around me when we first moved to the new stadium were the same as at Maine Road.
The people to the side infront and behind were all the same people as they did the 2 year season ticket.

Same here, we were near the back of Kippax Upper BB and we had the same people around us in 303 when we moved to the new stadium.

All different reasons but I can only speak for myself in that this season I'm in no cup schemes due to cost.
Sad but true.

I wanted to go to Bayern home (not in cup scheme) but was asked for £48.

To someone on a decent wage they wouldn't whinge.

I'm skint and £48 to me puts food on my table.

Sorry for being poor.
We have the best owners anyone could want, a title in the bag ,an F.A cup, champions league football played in a superb stadium about to be expanded with cheaper seats available & what do we get from our resident working class hero, sorry for being poor . Not good enough for you all this is it , no, the demographics aren't quite right for you , the atmosphere isn't good enough for you is it, maybe you should form a pressure group to get the owners to build you your very own stadium, you could design it to suit you because all that matters is you isn't it.
You could make sure that no Middle class fans get in because you hate them don't you, they've got decent wages, you jealous little prick, maybe if you hadn't been so thick at school you might have a decent job as well. You could make sure no tourists get in, have your own private army at the ground ,Stesec, anyone with slanted eyes or a camera would be deemed not worthy of being in the same ground a super ste the best most worthy fan in the world. New fans would be banned as well, you hate them as well, thank your stars that the fans at Maine Rd were tolerant to you when you first started going because everyone was a new fan once.
You are a spoilt brat who has it all but will never be happy, poor ? do me a fucking favour , you have a season ticket but you couldn't afford to go against Bayern, big fuckin deal, just shut up & get on with your life , we all want things that we cant have , its called LIFE so put your dummy back in your mardy arsed mouth.

Absolutely brilliant rant. First class.

Better than mine after the arsenal away loss in the title winning season when some poster - a city fan - called for balotelli to be banned indefinitely by the fa "for the good of the game".

Back on topic.. Seriously excellent post.

I hate all this "woe is me, I can't afford to go to away games hundreds of miles away" nonsense.

Two things.. We have the cheapest, best value tickets in English football, and secondly there are people dying of malnutrition in the world for the crime of being born in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Anyway, fucking superb rant mate. Whoever you are.
No it isn't "fucking superb". It's one of the nastiest posts I've ever seen on here but it doesn't surprise me that someone like you thinks it's good.

I understand affordability is an issue for some people. I think the Club is trying its best to make sure everybody has the ability to renew their season ticket. The instigation of the interest free instalment plan was probably a godsend for some. I can see schemes like this being refreshed by the Club every season, perhaps to even monthly payment plans. Clearly pricing polarizes peoples opinions but the level of vitriol by some to either the Club or between individuals is out of order. I also include in that using the term JCL or tourists. If somebody has chosen to watch City as their team irrespective of where they come from or how often they attend, they should be welcomed with open arms. Anything else should be considered as poor form and not to be tolerated.

I really don't understand how the possible release of thousands of cheaper seats due to a stadium expansion has caused all this debate over pricing.

Accept that the club is doing something good. Moan about your own ticket price if it increases disproportionally when or if it does happen.
Why should I subsidise somebody elses ticket. My ticket goes from 450 to 750 in 4 years. Fuck that City your taking the piss but ive only just started going to games (1974).

I take your point but we are now at a very different level from where we were 4 years ago.
if we were still happy just to retain our place in the Premiership like Stoke & Sunderland then our
season tickets would still be around the £450 mark. However, I know what I prefer. In comparison
to other top PL teams our tickets currently (and I do say 'currently') are very well priced.
I think we should count our blessings to be fair.

Don't understand your logic of how your season ticket increases from 450 to 750 pounds in 4 years. What have you based this on as there is nothing from the Club to suggest this. The only price projections for the 2015/2016 season are those to be in the expanded South & North Stands. Everything else the Club quote are based on current pricing structures for this season. Jesus I wish people would read the information instead of guessing or interpretating. Its just scaremongering. Beyond me some people its there in black & white FFS.

The covering letter i received with the brochure this morning seems to state that my seat on level 2 east stand will increase from £740 to as they put it
' starting from £1150'.
as my seat is near half way line, i expect that to be dearer again although we do get a sports bar behind the goal to go into.
if i have mis-read this in my haste to go to work, i apologise in advance
cheers

That's putting it mildly. I'm not sure whether I'm more appalled that anyone could actually write that utter pile of nasty, vindictive, abusive spite or that some on here actually thought it was quite good.

I'll give you my honest account for what its worth. My mouth got wider as I read it, then I laughed at the end, but im not sure if that was out of humour or shock or a bit of both. So i read it again and came to the conclusion that it came across rather judgemental and about as subtle as someone holding a gun to your head.
