My City-supporting mate is a qualified referee and has been officiating in the Isthmian League (Level 7) this season.

"It wasn't offside, but I feared the worst when I saw the linesman pressing the buzzer on his flag and then keep it lowered in his right hand as a sign that there might be a potential infringment. This is common practice at Level 6 and above
That would make sense because the linesman might see that Silva was in an offside position but wouldn't be sure if he was interfering with playing.
In that situation the referee should run over for a quick chat, but this definitely didn't happen"
TBF to the linesman Bernardo from the side angle could appear to be infront of the keeper so yuo can understand why he raises his flag....the view from infront of the goal tells you that Benardo isnt in line with the keeper and the keeper can see perfectly fine....not sure the ref would have been able to spot that in real time so VAR checking it was definitely useful on this occasion.

Exactly, Eddie should have been stronger & more determined just like the wolves keeper today, the difference is the reaction by the media who didnt mention it when we conceded but by tommorow will probably calling for a replay of todays game :-)
Are you really blaming eddie ? And not the gooners on him

Have Arsenal fans always been this insufferable but no one cared because they haven't been that good or is this new?
