Andy Murray to retire

Very sad for Andy. He has had a great career. It’s a shame injuries have forced him to take this action. I wish him well

I get that he work his way to the top, I get the dedication to win 3 majors, especially with all of the pressure around his neck and the fact that there are two bona fide legends operating in the same era, I get that he comes across as dour but really has a fantastic personality and is quite funny...I get all that, I just don't like him. never have, never will. He comes across as a right ****.

As does him Mother, although there's something about her that I quite like...

Shame he's retiring at a comparatively young age but fucking hell that press conference was embarrassing.

I can appreciate what he has achieved in the sport, a sport that's brutal on the body, but most people would say that he comes across as a **** even though he clearly has a sense of humour.

I hope he makes it to Wimbledon to get a proper send off. i won't be watching but for his fans and him that would be a good send off.

Having a timeout for a sec,to see if any other posters negative comments get the same reaction as mine have,

So I will sit here happily in the knowledge that come the end of the summer if not before I won't have to endure that miserable bastard no more
