    Worst World Cup ever? [Merged]

Re: Worst World Cup?! I think everyone is worried about losing their first game so are over cautious and would rather play for the draw. The second round of fixtures should be better, I hope!!

    The World Cup's craziest moments

If you're at work and you've got a few minutes to waste you could do worse than this selection of the World Cup's craziest moments. A cracking own goal from the USA in there.

Getting you in the World Cup mood...

If you're not quite in that World Cup mood yet, try watching some of these goal celebration videos. Worked for me. The Bebeto one brings back a lot of good memories.

    Dipperpool in for Arry.

It looks like it is going to be Dalglish! I will laugh if that happens, it's like Keegan and the Geordies all over again. I wonder if they have sounded out potential managers and none of them will go near the club while Hicks and Gillett are still there? Therefore they haven't much choice bu fir...

    Facebook Comedy Gold

It will be futile though, the Glazers aren't stupid, one of the reasons they bought the club was becasue of their massive 'support', they know there will be a long queue of glory hunters waiting to snap up tickets, despite their prices hikes.

Where is football going, will we go back to roots or the ..

I think we like something to moan about so if the COMS served ice cold beer and a wide array of tasty snacks it just wouldn't be the same!!

    World Cup's "funniest" names

One for the childish really, this one, but I must admit it had me sniggering a couple of times. Anyway, anyone who fancies some single entendre action should have a look at this World Cup rudest names blog... Just gutted there's no Fanni at the World Cup this time around...

    and so it begins

Anything that will get the posh seat holders forking out more is good for me, reduces our losses and makes us less dependent on the Sheikh. Oh and I agree, this is a outdated re-hash of a local story. Cutting edge journalism from the Mail once again.

Does anybody else think USA will beat us???

With Germany almost certainly awaiting the runners up in this group we can't afford to slip up. A draw against the US would mean we have to win our remaining games. On paper that should be easy but both Slovenia and Algeria will be well up for causing an upset. A win in our first game takes the...

    City are skint

There aren't many that give em a good name!! They are all leeches, siphoning off millions for little work in return. Agents like him saw our take-over and thought 'jackpot'. I'm glad we are standing firm in the market, it will ensure we get the right sort of player and gives us a bit of...

Classic Champ Man players of days gone by

(Who were actually rubbish). Great article here for anyone who remembers snapping up amazing players in Champ Man, only to discover they were pants in real life. He doesn't make the cut here, but was there a single fan who didn't want his club to sign Kezman at some point?

Just bet £10 for Hughes to be next Liverpool Manager

Well, according to this next Liverpool manager article, O'Neill is favourite. Not sure he'll go myself. I reckon they'll be looking for a temporary manager. Some one like a Joe Kinear...

Just bet £10 for Hughes to be next Liverpool Manager

Exactly, you can still get decent odds on him at the moment too. No one will go near the club until the ownership issue is sorted and that could take months. So I reckon Dalglish will take temp charge (what are the odds on him bottling it again!!) until the owners are gone, then I reckon it is...

Kaka - Thanks but no thanks...

Just to think a few year's ago we were debating the merits of Jonathan Macken.....

    Worst World Cup Fouls

What's the worst foul you have ever seen at the World Cup? There have been some infamous moments in past tournaments but which was the one that left you cringing? The Ortega v Van Der Sar incident was more funny than anything.

Who should be our number 1 for world cup??

It should be Hart but I think inexperience will count against him. The odds are it will be Green, I really hope it isn't David James

    Fixtures 2010/11 Release Date

I don't think it is a set rule though, why would they do that? Seems unfair to me guaranteeing the Champions a home game, fixtures are supposed to be random.

How on earth has swp gone and not aj??

Totally agree, he has contradicted himself there. I thinkthe selection highlights the weakness of our squad. After the first XI what have we got really? Carrick, Upson and SWP?? Then there is Warnock who has played five mins of international football but got in ahead of Baines becasue he said...

    Theo Walcott

Is Walcott's omission from the England squad a massive shock? I don't think he has set the world alight for Arsenal this season. Still, only taking four strikers to South Africa is a little risky.
