Really will depend on who leaves... Toure / fernando could be replaced by a DM Nasri, navas, bony, JD, Mangala & AK I'd say would also if we can find buyers. Personally think we still need a RB & LB unless he really thinks the young lads can step in, but another midfielder is needed to see us...

I can guarantee had mancini been in charge that wouldn't have happened. they only beat us at their place because the ref waved away two stonewall penalties for us. oh and joe did his usual. Seriously...? And what about the dortmund, napoli and real madrid games...? Its no coincidence in europe...

Do agree with fully with that, but I personally think formation wise 2 strikers, ie. Negredo and aguero playing together are great to watch and when both pressing the ball in defence and working hard in attack are more dangerous than playing a very predictable 4-2-3-1 and last season proved...

Dont understand the obsession with 4-2-3-1... teams packed the middle pushed us out wide, with no natural width last season, aguero couldnt win headers against big cb's and teams just hit us on the counter, why will that formation work under pellegrini work when it didnt win under mancini...

Re: Samir Nasri The 'holistic' effect... I was a big mancini fan until last year, it was clear nasri wouldnt play for him, he looks like a complete different player now!

Time will get the best out of us... rodgers at liverpool took him 12 months to get them playing the way he wants, its no coincidence that the 3 most consistent teams this season (arsenal, spurs, liverpool) all had the same manager last season... but formation wise I think pellegrini will start...

Under Mancini we had a record of 1 win 1 draw 6 losses in the premiership, great win to come from behind against the only (previously) unbeaten team. I think it will take till january to see pellegrini's tactics working, but whoever was coming in was going to take a bit of time to settle. Alot...

Has 4-2-2-2 had a resurrection? !? It was 1980's out dated style of playing football few nights ago... we ve only beat everton once and 1 draw in the 8 premier league games we played against them under mancini...
