#PremierLeague players could refuse to return to training on Monday even if Project Restart gets the green light. Clubs fear players with asthma, family members with underlying health issues and BAME players will not sign consent forms to return to training. [

To be fair, technically he’s right. I read a report a few years ago that stated that a fifth of the UK population was over 65 years of age, predicted to rise to 25% in the next 10 years or so. One also stated that just over half the population was above 45 years old which is the line which they are drawing where there is vulnerability. You sound clever
No economy, no society, no healthcare equals deaths beyond your comprehension We can’t let the economy go to the wall, those in lower risk groups should be allowed back to work. Those in vulnerable groups should be protected by effectively quarantining them and if that means that for example grandparents can’t see grandkids until it’s safe well that’s a price worth paying to protect society isn’t it.To be fair, technically he’s right. However, the appropriate measure of this virus should not be age related but should be assessed as vulnerability. Evidence is suggesting that it’s those that are vulnerable, through personal health reasons, that it affects the most.
Regardless of age or health, everybody has family/friends/colleagues/acquaintances that could succumb to this virus and it has to be a personal choice if you want to live with the thought that you were unknown killer.
Let’s face it, the government aren’t too worried about the ‘minority’, it’s collateral damage. So why should you?

Non covid deaths are already 25% higher than usual due to the obsession with the virus. We won’t know for years how many extra deaths from cancer etc that could’ve been prevented by early screening will be added to the toll. All the extra resources diverted to white elephant nightingale hospitals at the expense of other care result in deaths, mental health problems that arise from being locked up day after day in cramped accommodation with little money will affect society, battered women stuck at home with abusive partners are in mortal danger but all that morons such as the guy you refer to can see is the simple equation “corona = death”. Anyone with a fucking brain can see it’s way more nuanced than that so technically he’s not right is he
Has the pools panel deciding the last nine results been put forward yet?
https://section44.co.uk/Wife just saw her mate at the corner shop who is a nurse on the front line at Salford Royal. She has been asking to get tested at work and even yesterday she was told there is no need as she is not showing any symptoms. Also wife teaches year 6 in primary school so she will get asked to go back in to school in a few weeks times. No way will she get tested... meanwhile the expectation is that premier league football will get tested before every training session. Unbelievable.
It hasnt lost its integrity at all...there is an unprecedented world wide pandemic...just stop for a while, make sure everyone is safe and well, and then carry on.....if anything, that maintains its integrity as it all gets finished as fairly as possibly.
Sure none of us want Liverpool to win the league...but cutting the season short at such a late stage, when something like this is a sensible option (in my opinion) does not show great integrity.
Apologies, I should have stated that I was responding to the technicality of the ‘minority’. My bad, apologies for my hectoring toneApologies, I should have stated that I was responding to the technicality of the ‘minority’. I wasn’t being disproving, just articulating.
Now, I’m more than happy to get into the economics of the situation but, in reality, what has football got to do with it? If you want to compare what the Premier League puts into the GDP, or assists the PPP then, by all means, crack on, but please do not then change the subject to the ‘Morale’ debate, definitely not ‘Moral’, as they are 2 completely different subjects.
I understand the governments stance in that we will allow people to die to ensure future economic stability, however, it does not mean that I have to accept that view and role over to let it happen. For me, what is worse is that there are a few nations that have taken the same stance and it’s almost as if this virus is there to serve a purpose. Once you allow that to determine your thinking all morality has gone and I could not abide by the club that I call my family being involved in such depravity.
Anyway, stay safe, Blue, let’s hope we all come out of this unscathed.
Turn your face especially if its Phill jones.

It is not so much the risk to yourself. It is who you can pass it to and they can die. And who they pass it to and they can die. I think you get the point. I very much hope so, anyway..9% in Italy. Similar in New York
If you were told there was a one in a hundred chance of dying if you went to a football match, would you go?

For me, football really shouldn't be starting yet.

No tackling in training lol. You couldnt make this nonsense up. Talk about desperation its embarrassing. I'm rapidly falling out of love with football these days.
