I think a lot are because it was so fucking obvious how they were going to play and Pellegrini either was clueless or ignored it and just set us up to fall for it.

We could be 4th tomorrow with Spurs next.

There seems to be no accounting for the opposition under Manuel

He sets us up the same way and can't see the error of his way or learn from mistakes even though most if not all the fans can..... He's destroyed the club and we've trodden water as a result

Again, as another poster said, this sums the club up waiting for Pep who could be a total flop (we will see)
 
I've come to the conclusion that the only way Pellegrini is comfortable is with an attacking possession based team that will occasionally have a bad day. But goid enough that the bad days are infrequent abs we're still thereabouts for the league.

The problem is his best passing midfielder doesn't have the legs to track back so to accommodate him we get a more defensive lineup.

That doesn't suit the players and it's neither fish nor fowl. Not good enough going forward and not based on a sound defensive structure so you get a team that's porous and disjointed.

So should our team be based around Aguero rather than Silva and Yaya? Kun seems at his best with another striker so should we drop Yaya and only play Silva wide so as to play to Aguero's strengths?

If I had my way I would use Yaya like Mancini used Vieira, as a closer. To control possession when we're in front for the last 20-30 mins.

It was entirely predictable mate, we got battered off Sunderland in the week for 70 minutes against a relegation threatened clod hopping team, left after the third goal with many others, there is no point shouting your support and singing when they play like that, as I say mate it was so predictable , never thought I'd say it but we are boring to watch.

Pep has got one hell of a job on his hands , made even worse with the Euros looming.

We have some talented kids at the club, a few need throwing into the mix to give us some energy.

Said it before but I'd wager a good slice of the players can't wait for him to fuck off.

Guaranteed. We've got some incredible players, competitive guys,, playing garbage week in and week out and getting docked 3-0 3-1 etc at home. They must be loving it. Not.
 
Looks like all the expert managers are deciding to post now. I'd recommend starting with a youth league team and manage your way up, since you have the strategy and personnel issues figured out. Does it make you all feel better about the problem, or do you actually really think you know how to fix everything? Nah, it couldn't be 4 competitions on our schedule and players that are overpaid, overplayed, and over age for the most part... it's the manager you could do better than.
 
From an impartial view...
You had so much of the ball, but the build u was painfully slow....effectively taking Sterling out of the game.
Your defence was too high, which invited the pace of Vardy to run onto balls over the top....
And more significantly...Leicester looked hungry ....City just looked like they were going through the motions.

You can still win this....but everything has to improve.....
One last thing....
However shit you think you are....I wish my lot were as shite as you.....

Agree it's part of the problem but Pellegrini management of the squad has been diabolical
 
There was an interview with Delph yesterday as the team arrived at the ground, he said 'we are only concerned about our own game, not how the opposition play'. Here lies the problem

The player issue is partly of his own making from his reluctance to play younger players in the early rounds CO/FA cup so they now have zero experience when they may be actually needed.

He has been dealt a bad hand injury wise but that performance yesterday and his tactics and set up before and during it were awful.

If he actually said that then he's a tool. Maybe it's just something he has to say, and hopefully the team have got together during the week to discuss Leicester!
 
Rather we post the question for context... He was being asked about the opposition and how they play. His response was measured in fullness.
 
Great team performance by Leicester, they reminded me of Juve when they beat us at our place in that they worked together as a team and for each other. They were quick to get back into their positions when they lost the ball and attacked with pace and with numbers when they won it. I thought we were preoccupied with Vardy which allowed more space for his teammates. They got a bit panicky and ragged after we scored but it was too late for us by then.
