    Sports Personality of the Year

That was bad enough. Beckham winning the lifetime achievement award last year did it for me. Their definition of "lifetime achievement" must be different to mine. Perhaps they include sales of football shirts and volume of newspaper column inches?

So no Thursdays but 5pm kickoff...

"UEFA - We Care About Football" - that's what it said all over the walls at the draw. If that was the case, and they didn't actually only care about money and sponsors, then rubbish like this wouldn't be happening. I suppose at least I'll be able to get a train home the same night as a midweek...

The "mercenary" & "there for the money" tag...

What some football fans can't understand is: a) For the majority of quality footballers money isn't the only factor. Winning things is another. If they can get both all the better. And for some teams fans more than others: b) A footballer is more concerned about winning things in the future...

    The Liverpool Thread

Re: Suarez You Are A Disgrace I had to Google that to be sure it wasn't a joke. There's been some blinkered nonsense over the years from sour alex and whinger etc, but that is without question one of the most ridiculous statements I have ever heard.

Message to the Norwich Fans that attended today.

We should be nice to them, as they are David Silva's favourite team. He always says how much he loves the Canaries.

Incensed?! It's not like he turned round and put it in with his arse. I wouldn't put it past him though :-)

Message to the Norwich Fans that attended today.

They were pretty good to be fair. It only took them 2 minutes to sing "where were you when you were shit" though ;-)

City V Norwich Post Match Discussion Thread

It's obviously a nightmare to get away if you're driving but the amount of people that do leave early always surprises me. Is it just drivers? Today I noticed people leaving before 80 minutes were up. Great win today. A very professional, patient performance first half. Some fantastic stuff...

    West Brom sold out

There are 2 tickets on here already. http://www.livefootballtickets.com/english-premiership-west-bromwich-albion-v-manchester-city-tickets/west-bromwich-9374.html Could sites like this be part of the problem? Might also explain the tourists at away games. Just a thought.

    Support at Arsenal

I thought it was the worst atmosphere of any of the London aways this season. Songs seemed to start OK but fizzle out by the time they spread fully across the stand. Not sure it's people not singing that's the problem but people not being arsed to sing more than one or two lines ;o)

Yep you're right they did. Found the goals: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjdELI7pejM Not a bad strike for their second!

if city play palace in the carling cup final

So who was at the 2-2 game at Selhurst before their cup final? Plenter of banter against the rags that day. I was with some Palace mates in their end that day, so was on the pitch with them at the final whistle. So if you were in the City end, I would have applauded you. Wonder if they still...
