Norwich VS city post match thread

For the first 20 mins Bony repeatedly made a mess of his possession. It was noticeable that after this no City player wanted to pass to him; when he was available they turned away and moved the ball elsewhere. In effect City were playing with 10 men until Sterling came on. How was he allowed to...

Post Match Thread | Manchester City vs Crystal Palace (LC)

Meanwhile over at the swamp, 4hrs+ without a goal. Man U supporters must feel like eunochs; they know its all happening next door but they're not getting any of it.

Emotional moments courtesy of Manchester City.

I live in Spain and although I;ve been a City fan all my life (born Gorton) I haven't watched a live home game since the Maine Road days of Lee, Bell, Summerbee etc. Ten days ago, whilst visiting family and my wife was safely in the Trafford Centre, I did the Etihad tour after years of seeing...

    Yaya

Apologies if already raised but I wonder whether or not his attitude is due to his brother, Kolo's uncertain future. I believe they are close and I noticed yaya's lack of motivation began at a time when the press were trailing Kolo's departure this summer. If so, Pellers needs to sort it out...

    Tevez....

Can't believe so many Blues are writing off a player who gives nothing less than 100 percent when he turns out for City. Can you NOT see the possibility of confusion in a noisy Bayern Munich stadium and the stress of a two-nil deficit? Plus there is the language problem. Do you not see that...

Thanks for the report. It's always appreciated

Should we pull out of FIFA..?

Who are FIFA and why do they run the World Cup when it was the British FAs that established the rules for the modern game in 1882? The British FAs formed the International arm to the sport in 1886 and FIFA became a member in 1913. FIFA introduced the first World Cup in Uruguay in 1930 and its...

    Milner???

Milner is consistently playing better than Barry? I think that Mancini now sees that Barry has been underperforming in the last five matches including the England game. He needs a rest. A drinking and golf holiday perhaps?

    2 Losses....2 Refereeing Decisions

Sending a player off, without previous caution( or yellow) after 4 mins robs the game of meaning and the PAYING spectators of a fair contest. Would it have been better if the Premiership introduced a 10 min 'sin bin' like they do in rugby? The perpetrator's team is punished but the game remains...

The PL table as it stands...

It's funny but we play each of the top three in your table at home before we play the first away match against them; Arsenal away in January, Tossers Feb and Chelsea, March. The Gunners may be the first true test if we assume we'll sweep away the rest in the meantime. Would I take 4th now? With...

    Kompany Is Overrated.

For me, I'd make him captain. I haven't read the whole thread so I apologise if someone else has posted this view.

Adam Johnson - Potentially how good?

I agree with those who say its a bit early to say. His crossing could be better but there's no doubt he's a trier and will improve. My big worry is that all of the PL know by now that, on the right flank, he won't go outside a back, nearly always trying to cut back inside. They'll be waiting!

Kolo .. good move by taking the captaincy away ?

I agree that Kolo is much improved and I feel sure that his bro being in the team and also playing well is a factor. For me Kompany has all the makings of a good captain, but I'm not sure how important the role is nowadays. I would like a captain that stops players from taking quick free kicks...

For me the best buy of the year.

Mancini Sees Opening League Games As "Problem"

Well spotted about Kidd. I admit I'd forgotten this link but I make no apologies about my thoughts on his abilities. I, of course, mean Adam. When I wrote this piece I was angry, not only with City's defeat at Sunderland, but with posters that make no contribution to the debate but answer with...

    Answer me this...

There is no excuse for today's result. I've seen comments in the match day thread about Richards being a carthorse who needs to be dropped, I've seen comments about the referee, about individual players and the likes, but there is no excuse for what has happened today. Now, anyone who takes any...

    Distinct lack of goalscoring chances?

What a silly response to the post. If you don't agree, say why, citing examples. City's midfield will NOT get forward to put sustained pressure on defences. Since the pre-season look at how many goals City have scored. Its no good being in denial. Attack attack attack. I blame platt and Kidd

Mancini Sees Opening League Games As "Problem"

How very disappointing! Despite my early pessimism I had City to win three nil. I made a post here before the season (above), drawing attention to the threat posed by Sunderland. It was received by the bully boys with predictable cynicism. So let me say this again. Sunderland won this game...
