Believe it or not, I very much doubt long/air balls are ever practiced in training unless you are Stoke/Bolton/Blackburn... This type of thing happens naturally usually when tactics go wrong in the game. So it's too early to tell what will happen during an actual game.

I fail to understand why the hole at right back hasn't been plugged in the summer. With the money spent on Santa Cruz, a decent right back could have been bought. Right now, every team targets the right, whether it is Richards or Zab, every manager knows it is the weak spot.

Re: Carlton Cole Honestly, for the good of the England team i'd rather leave him with Zola. Zola has improved his team not through buying but by coaching and has been able to slot academy players in as needed and have them be successful as well. Massive respect from me for them.

How would Kompany and Ned ever get a game? I guess Kompany / Nigel could alternate but Ned would rarely get a game. Even with Lescott in and TBH out Ned is likely to be behind Toure, Lescott, Kompany and probably Dunne.

Yes but even players and their agents know that there is a normal football industry wage and a City wage, and that to get it they would have to go to City. Look at Terry, he has accepted that Chelsea simply can't match City's wage structure and I would assume most other players at United etc...
