I used to love having a walk down to the pictures in Stalybridge.

There are still some honest people about thankfully.

I think you'll find that the majority of people in life are honest, it's only the odd few who aren't.

    Great bands from Stalybridge

Yeah, they've moved the Verge night there from a place in Hyde. They have some good Americana type bands playing. The old Con club in Mottram road has some good new bands on now and then as well.

    Great bands from Stalybridge

My band "Fly The Bird"! And not forgetting the now sadly split up "The Words". About 8 years ago there was a really good set of bands in Stalybridge centered around a small but buzzing venue called Viva. Halcyon days.

Stop them try to shut Night and Day

As much as I think it's a rubbish venue I wouldn't want it to shut. But as Aphex says it does sound like a marketing exercise on their part. Remember that there's always two sides to any story and the other side of the story as I've heard it is that although one person complained (who's had...

    Chic.....band

Saw them last week at the Sandance festival in Dubai. I wasn't that bothered about seeing them before hand, but they were brilliant. Hit after hit after hit. Nile Rodgers will leave some legacy behind.

    Tag Shop in Cheshire Oaks

I've got a TAG and I love it as it was a wedding present from the wife, but if was spending my own money I wouldn't buy one. Mine's spent months in the repair shop as there is a design flaw in the crown mechanism which causes the thread to strip out. Tends to happen every couple of years just as...

    Sharps Bedrooms

Had them round just last week. Very expensive, I ended up being a bit off with the fella to get him to leave as he was trying the hard sell. We were supposed to have Betta bedrooms round yesterday but they wanted 2 hours per bedroom!

    Guitar players, help please!

This isn't a good idea, although you can get a product called liquid skin which is the same principal but won't give you blood poisoning.

    Periodic Table of Swearing

That my fellow blue, is the best thing I've seen all week. It could do with one of those NSFW things though as my 4 year old has just learnt some new words!

She is called Susan. I went to Oldham college with her in the early 90's. Although her Wiki page say's Sarah? i'll try and dig an old show programme out tonight and see what she was calling her self back then.
